New Year’s Eve Events Near Eastmark 2022
Somehow a new year is already almost upon us! There are an array of fun family friendly functions and adult activities coming up near Eastmark to help ring in 2023.
Family Friendly Events:
First, the Children’s Museum of Phoenix is again hosting its Happy “Noon” Year Celebration for kids who can’t quite make it until midnight. The celebration will be on Saturday, December 31 and offers two different times to attend – 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm. Tickets are $26 per person (or $10 per person for the museum’s member rate) and children 1 and under are free. There will be sparking cider, a dance floor, a DIY noisemaker station, and a countdown to a festive balloon drop at the end of each time slot.
Jake’s Unlimited in Mesa is also hosting a New Year’s Eve Fun Bash fit for the whole family. They will be open all day on December 31 from 11am to 12:30am. Their regular play pass options will be available for the day, no special tickets are required. This event includes kid-friendly New Year’s countdown celebrations at 8pm and 12am with party favors and cider toasts at each. The unlimited buffet will be open until 9pm and a-la-carte menu options are available from 9pm to 11pm. Passes of varying degrees are available online and range from $15 for entry and unlimited buffet access only to $65 for a Champion Pass that includes all day admission, unlimited buffet, laser tag, arcade games, carnival rides, virtual reality games, and bowling. Children 3 and under get free admission.
Another family friendly event in Mesa is Golfland Sunsplash’s New Year’s Eve Bash. This event starts at 6pm on December 31 and will include unlimited access to all their attractions like video games, mini golf, bumper cars, laser tag, and race cars until 1am. Tickets start at $32 online if purchased before Christmas Eve and increase to $35 after that.
In Chandler, the Chandler Center for the Arts is hosting New Year’s Eve Celebration – Broadway Showstoppers. The performance begins at 8pm on December 31 and will feature six vocalists and a live orchestra. You will hear the greatest hits from Broadway shows such as Hamilton, Rent, Mamma Mia, Chicago, Wicked, Les Miserable, Phantom of the Opera, and Moulin Rouge. A champagne toast and party favors will complete the evening and usher in 2023. Tickets are available online and range from $28 to $48.
The Phoenix Symphony Hall is also hosting a New Year’s Eve Concert starting at 7:30pm. Megan Hilty is the guest performer vocalist and Stuart Chafetz is conducting. Tickets are for sale online as well and range from $34 to $109.
For sports fans, college basketball in Arizona is heating up this winter! Arizona State is off to their best start since the 2017/2018 season and University of Arizona has started their season with a solid top 10 ranking. They will face off for the first of two matchups this season on December 31 at 12pm at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe. Tickets for that game are available online starting at $60.
Adult Events:
Level 1 Arcade Bar is throwing a New Year’s Eve Party in downtown Gilbert. This event kicks off at 9pm and includes a champagne toast at midnight, a live DJ, prizes for awesome attire, drink specials, and more. There is no cover charge for the event, first come first serve for adults 21+. Then on New Year’s Day, head back to the arcade bar for their Walk of Shame New Year’s Day Party. They will be serving all-day breakfast, Bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and also have cornhole, games, and raffle prizes. There is no charge to attend this event as well and guests under 21 are permitted with a parent/guardian over 21 until 7pm.
Both Tempe and Scottsdale are hosting New Year’s Eve Bar Crawls again this year. This gives attendees the opportunity to bounce from bar to bar and celebrate 2023 at many different venues along the same area. Each bar will offer drink specials throughout the night. Tickets to each party include 10+ different New Year’s Eve parties, a free welcome shot at select venues, drink specials, and pub crawl map. In Old Town Scottsdale, participating bars this year include Social Tap, Philadelphia, The Hot Chick, RnR, DJs of Scottsdale, Boondocks, Goodwood Tavern, Clancey’s Pub, and Gilligan’s. For the Tempe bar crawl event in downtown Tempe on Mill Ave, the bars for the event this year include The Handlebar, Varsity Tavern, Mill Cue Club, Fat Tuesday, Casa, Detroit Coney Grill, Spinelli’s Pizza and more! Check-in is open from 8pm to 10:30pm. Select discounted tickets are available for a limited time for $29, regularly $39.
Radford Racing School in Chandler is hosting New Year’s Eve Throttle Therapy for those looking to end 2022 on an adrenaline rush. Choose between two different time slots – 8am to 12pm or 1pm to 5pm – and join guided instructors in a variety of exciting performance driving exercises in a Dodge SRT performance vehicle. The maneuvers include evasive exercises, timed autocross competitions, ProKarting, and lead and follow track sessions. Each 4-hour session of professional racing instruction is $499.
Several area casinos are also putting on different events to celebrate the end of 2022. Talking Stick Resort and Casino in Scottsdale is hosting Glitter and Glow New Year’s Eve starting at 9:30pm on December 31. They will have specialty cocktails and live entertainment, including a George Michael tribute and the Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience. Tickets include four drinks, party favors, and a celebratory toast at midnight and are on sale for $150 each. The WeKoPa Casino Resort is also hosting a New Year’s Eve I Love the 80’s party that kicks off at 10pm. Tickets are $48 per person, 4 person minimum and includes live music, dancing, and a midnight champagne toast and an 80’s food buffet.
