What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve Near Eastmark?
With 2021 winding down, the new year is almost upon us. There are several events near Eastmark and in the Valley to help ring in the new year, whether you’re looking to celebrate as a family or with an adult’s night out.
Family Friendly Celebrations:
If you’re looking for a few family friendly ways to celebrate the new year, there are a few options for you. First, the Children’s Museum of Phoenix in downtown Phoenix is hosting a “Happy Noon Year” celebration. The museum has two time slots at either 9am to noon or 1pm to 4pm on Friday, December 31. They will have sparking apple cider, music, dancing, a noisemaker activity, and a festive balloon drop on their atrium to welcome in the new year (a few hours early). Pricing is $10 for members and $26 for non-members, children under the age of 1 are free. Tickets can be bought online for both time slots and masks are required for museum visitors aged 2+.
Another unique family friendly event close to Eastmark is New Year’s Eve Baby Goat and Alpaca Yoga in Gilbert. Located at Welcome Home Ranch on Val Vista Dr. and Hunt Hwy., Goat Yoga is a yoga class run with Nigerian Pygmy Goats roaming the field. The goats often like to partake in the fun and interact with the yoga class, going over and under your yoga poses. Around this time of year, the mother goats are due to have their babies, so this is a special time of year to be able to interact with baby goats. The yoga class is suitable for all ages and abilities, and it runs from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday, December 31. Tickets can be purchased online for $15 per person, don’t forget your towel or yoga mat and some water!
If your family is looking for a more relaxing way to ring in the new year, there are several musical and comedy options in the Chandler and Phoenix area. At the Chandler Arts Center, Best of Broadway – A New Year’s Eve Celebration will allow you to enjoy the greatest hits from popular Broadway shows like Mamma Mia!, Jersey Boys, and Carle King’s Beautiful, performed by four vocalists and a 10-piece orchestra. Tickets range from $26 to $46 depending on seating preferences and the show starts at 8pm. There will be a champagne toast and party favors, as well as a photo booth for complimentary photos, and a special souvenir for all attendees.
The Improve Maia Comedy Club in Downtown Chandler will also be hosting a family friendly improve show on the 31st starting at 7pm. The family friendly show will conclude around 8:00pm with an early New Year countdown. Then around 9pm and throughout the later part of the night, an unfiltered improve and standup comedy show will be held. Tickets to either event can be purchased online and range from $17.50 for children and $20 for adults.
In downtown Phoenix, the Phoenix Symphony will also be performing a New Year’s Celebration with the Phoenix Symphony starting at 7:30pm. This performance will also include an exciting guest performer, Leslie Odom Jr, who is a Tony and Grammy Award winning actor and Broadway star known for his role as Aaron Burr in the musical Hamilton. Tickets can be purchased online and range from $44 to $144 depending on seating preferences.
Restaurant and Hotel Celebrations:
If you’re looking to get a babysitter and spend the night out on the town, look no further than these fun options across the Valley.
In Gilbert, Liberty Market will be hosting its popular community dinner. After taking a break from the tradition last year, the restaurant will be ringing in the new year with its Surprise Seven-Course Community Dinner. The dinner is exclusive, limited to 24 patio seats only and each of the courses will be a surprise to guests. The event will begin at 6:30pm and cost is $90 for the seven-course menu per person or $110 to include alcohol pairings with the meal per person. The White Rabbit, a cool speakeasy themed bar in Downtown Gilbert, will also be having an event on New Year’s Eve starting at 9:00pm for those 21+. The White Rabbit’s New Year’s Eve Champagne Gala is another limited-ticket event that will start with a welcoming cocktail upon arrival, some savory chef’s selected hors d’oeurves, and will conclude with a Champagne toast at midnight. There will be complimentary festive party favors as well. Tickets to pre-assigned table seating as well as a VIP Bar Experience can be found online. Don’t forget to come dressed to impress!
In Queen Creek, the new Queen Creek Botanical Gardens is hosting a New Year’s Eve event, The Great Gatsby Ball at Pecan Lake. This event will kick off at 7:00pm and will feature live music by a 1920’s 8-piece Great Gatsby Band, a dance floor, fireworks, dinner and cash bar, a poker tournament, a prize for Best Dressed Couple, and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $150.00 per person.
Promising to give you a socially responsible and hassle-free New Year’s Eve, the cocktail parlor Bitter and Twisted in Phoenix wants to show you an amazing time with its 007 Bond New Year’s Eve party. The staff will be dressed to impress in their slickest agent or villain attire and will be serving delicious cocktails. The party starts at 8pm and reservations can be made online for various seating packages.
Several Scottsdale restaurants and hotels will be hosting New Year’s Eve dinners to ring in 2022. At Maple + Ash, they will have a 5-course prix fixe menu, ice luge, photo booth, and midnight Champagne toast with 2 different seating times at 4:30pm to 8:45pm for $250 per person and 9:00pm to midnight for $300 per person, reservations are required.
The ZuZu, inside the iconic Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale is throwing a New Year’s Eve Party complete with a chic lounge atmosphere, a special menu, Champagne, and a DJ. Their party will start at 8:00pm and general admission tickets for the event are $160 per person which includes 3 drinks and hors d’oeuvres from the culinary display. You can also reserve a VIP table starting at $500 for two with tables up to 8 people available.
Two casinos in Scottsdale are also throwing New Year’s Eve events. The Talking Stick Resort is hosting the Mirrorball New Year’s Eve Celebration starting at 9:30pm. Their over-the-top party will feature music, specialty drinks at the bars, party favors, and a Champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. General admission is $135 per person. Casino Arizona will also be throwing a New Year’s party complete with DJ’s Powerdrive and The Manic Hispanic playing the hits, Champagne toast and balloons at midnight, and cash drawings throughout the night. General admission tickets are $50 and the party starts at 9:00pm.
At the Found:Re Phoenix Hotel in downtown Phoenix, revelers will ring in 2022 with a Pretty in Pink New Year’s Eve Party. The event will start at 9:00pm and will feature music and dancing, selfie stations, party favors, and outrageous décor. Tickets start at $15 and will include a rose Champagne toast at midnight, with additional beverages and food available for purchase. Make sure to wear pink!
Block Parties and Bar Crawls:
In Phoenix, Crescent Ballroom and Walter Productions are teaming up to put on a block party on New Years Eve at Margaret T. Hance Park in Downtown Phoenix. This will be the 10th annual iteration of the event, featuring 3 stages of music including a 2000’s music stage and an R&B and Hip-Hop music stage. There will also be fireworks, food trucks, and plenty of fun. Tickets are available starting at $20 online.
If you’re looking for a pub crawl to celebrate the new year, you have two options. Old Town Scottsdale’s Bar Crawl gets you access to 8 parties in the Old Town area, which will include drink specials and welcome shots, all while avoiding the cover charges of each of the bars. Similarly, in the heart of Tempe, the Tempe Bar Crawl gets you access to 5 different bars where you can ring in the new year at multiple venues with drink specials at each one. Tickets to either event are $29 and the event check in starts at 8:00pm.
Finally, there will be a music festival at the Rawhide Event Center in Chandler. Decadence Arizona 2021 will host EDM artists such as Chris Lake, Dillon Francis, Madeon and more from December 30 to December 31. Tickets range from $109 and can be purchased online.
