Fall is slowly sneaking its way into the Valley and there are tons of events coming up near Eastmark in the Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and Scottsdale areas that are perfect for a family friendly way to welcome the change of seasons and to enjoy the upcoming nicer weather.

Fall Events 2023:

  • Eastmark Spooktacular 2023
    • When: October 21, 2023 | 5:30pm
    • Location: The Eastmark Great Park | 10100 E Ray Road Mesa, AZ
    • Activities: dance party, costume crawl, food fest, Haunted Mansion, carnival-style games, magic shows, face painting, balloon artists, slides, trampolines, ninja obstacle course, bounce house, roaming characters for photo ops, food trucks
    • Cost: FREE (up to 6 complimentary wristbands per household)
    • Other fun facts: best dressed costume gets a FREE SMILE from Advanced Orthodontics (comprehensive orthodontic treatment that includes Invisalign or braces). Resident-only wristband event. Registration before the event is recommended, but day of registration will be allowed too. Sign up online – additional wristbands over 6 on sale online for $10.00
  • Ghosts N Glow Run
    • When: October 20, 2023 | from 5:00p to 9:00pm | first wave starting at 6:00pm
    • Location: Gilbert, AZ | Freestone Park – 1045 E Juniper Avenue
    • Activities: run or walk along the 2-mile untimed race course with glow sticks, black lights, Halloween décor, glow powder, laser lights, music, and a foam party at the finish line
    • Cost: $40.00 per person beginning October 16
    • Other fun facts: designed for participants 3 and older, no strollers. Please register online to receive a race-entry glow bracelet, t-shirt, and other race info.
  • Arizona Fall Fest
    • When: November 4, 2023 | 10:00am to 4:00pm
    • Location: Phoenix, AZ | Margaret T Hance Park – 67 W Culver St
    • Activities: over 200 vendors representing Arizona’s favorite local businesses, restaurant samples, beverage garden featuring Arizona wineries, breweries, and spirits, raffles, live entertainment, kids’ zone with crafts, games, and activities

  • Chuck Wagon Cook-Off|
    • When: November 11, 2023 | 11:00am
    • Location: Chandler, AZ | 2250 S. McQueen Road – The Ranch at Tumbleweed Park
    • Activities: watch teams work from authentic 1880’s style chuck wagons to cook 5 courses – bread, beans, meat, potatoes, and dessert. Judges will decide winners in each category, live entertainment
    • Cost: Meal tickets on sale for $20.00 per person
  • Gilbert Days Festival 2023
    • When: November 17 and 18, 2023 | 4:00pm to 9:00pm
    • Location: Gilbert Regional Park
    • Activities: musical entertainment, food and drink, shopping, and a family fun area with inflatables and backyard games, food trucks, beer garden, 30 local vendors
    • Cost: $5 per person ages 13+ | children 12 and under are FREE!
    • Other fun facts: all activities inside the event are FREE! Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the event, space permitting, for $10. Tickets are sold for either Friday or Saturday evening and only valid for the day purchased. This event is cashless.
  • 2023 Gilbert Days Parade
    • When: November 18, 2023 | starting at 8:30am
    • Location: Downtown Gilbert, AZ | Heritage District
    • Activities: parade will showcase local schools, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and special interest groups
    • Cost: FREE
    • Other fun facts: The parade runs between Gilbert Road from Elliot Road to Juniper Avenue. Road closures will be in effect – check online for closures and parking.
  • Gilbert Half Marathon, 10k and 5k 
    • When: November 18, 2023 | first wave starting at 7:00am
    • Location: Gilbert, AZ | 3975 E Williams Field Road – Verde at Cooley Station
    • Activities: Half marathon, 10k, and 5k races plus a kid’s dash and buddy run and post-race expo
    • Cost: Half Marathon: $90 | 10k: $50 | 5k: $35 | Kid’s Dash: $10
    • Other fun facts: All distance races are also offered virtually. Participants will receive an official technical t-shirt, a commemorative finisher medal, a race swag bag, and post-race finish line refreshments.
  • Gilbert Days Rodeo
    • When: November 17 to 19, 2023
    • Location: Queen Creek, AZ | Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre
    • Activities: mutton busting, Lil’ Dudes Rodeo, steer riding
    • Cost: ranges from $15 to $65 depending on which level
    • Other fun facts: ticket options and purchasing are available online

Pumpkin Patches and Halloween Events:

  • Vertuccio Farms Fall Fest
    • When: September 29 to October 29 | closed Monday, open Tuesday to Thursday 3pm to 9pm, Friday to Saturday 9am to 10pm and Sunday 12pm to 7pm
    • Location: Mesa, AZ – 4011 S Power Road Mesa, AZ 85212
    • Activities: pumpkin patch, #LovePup corn maze, petting zoo, super mega slide, carnival games, barrel train ride, giant tube roll, giant jump pad, playground, mini golf
    • Cost: $15 per person – children 2 and under are FREE (pumpkins can be purchased without admission to the Fall Festival). Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate
    • Other fun facts: dogs are permitted as long as they are leashed and friendly
  • Schnepf Farms Pumpkin and Chili Party
    • When: October 5 to October 29 | open Thursday through Sunday 12pm to 9pm Thursdays, 12pm to 10pm Fridays, 10am to 10pm Saturdays, 10am to 9pm Sundays
    • Location: Queen Creek, AZ – 24810 S Rittenhouse Road
    • Activities: pumpkin patch, corn maze, rides, zip line, jumping pillows, daytime and spooky train ride (additional cost), hayride, petting zoo, mini golf, ropes course, stunt dog show, pig races, bonfires, food area featuring chili, BBQ, burritos, mac n’ cheese, funnel cakes, kettle corn, pizza, fudge, candied apples and more. The Wreckoning, bus ride that takes a ride through spooky scenes (additional cost)

  • Mother Nature’s Farm Halloween Pumpkin Patch
    • When: September 23 to October 31 | Monday to Sunday 9am to 9pm

    • Activities: pumpkin patch, hayride, straw bale maze, animals, spider web crawl, bounce house, pedal cars, picture boards, corn pit, slide, outdoor games

  • Mortimer Farms Pumpkin Fest and Corn Maze
    • When: September 29 to October 29 | Monday to Thursday 7am to 7pm, Friday to Saturday 7am to 9pm, Sunday 7am to 7pm | check online for entertainment schedules

    • Activities: Monday to Thursday activities include rides, games, corn maze, pumpkin patch, animal encounters.     • Cost: Corn Maze only ranges from $8-$10 | Hayride only is $5 | Maze and Hayride combo ranges from $11 to $13 – ages 2 and under are free| Tickets can be purchased at the gate

  • Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival
    • When: October 27 to 29 | 5:00pm to 9:30pm
    • Location: Scottsdale, AZ – 7555 N Pima Road – Salt River Fields at Talking Stick
    • Activities: spooky costume contests, 20+ hot air balloons with treat-or-treat stations, live music, bounce houses and inflatable games, tethered balloon rides, kids’ zone
    • Cost: General admission is $22 for adults and $17 for children 10 and under – children 2 and under are FREE | Tickets can be purchased online| tickets for the tethered balloon rides must be purchased at the festival – first come, first served
    • Other fun facts: parking is FREE | fireworks show on Friday and Saturday nights
  • Arizona Boardwalk Annual Halloween Bash
    • When: October 28 10:00am to 2:00pm
    • Location: Scottsdale, AZ – 9500 E Via de Ventura – Arizona Boardwalk
    • Activities: Costume contest, DJ, trick or treating, bounce houses, slides, face painting, food vendors, raffles
    • Cost: FREE
    • Other fun facts: Costume contest prize is $1,000 to be split between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for children 18 and under
  • Chandler Annual Halloween Spooktacular 
    • When: October 27 | 5:30pm to 8:30pm
    • Location: Downtown Chandler, AZ – 178 E Commonwealth Ave
    • Activities: costume parade, spooky prize wheel, carnival games, musical headstones, pumpkin sack races, inflatable axe throwing, skee ball, trunk or treat stations and a little monsters zone with milder thrills

  • Queen Creek Trunk or Treat
    • When: October 21 | 5:00pm to 9:00pm
