Holiday Lights Tour: The Best Decorated Houses in the East Valley

Nothing says holidays quite like twinkling lights and we’re lucky to live in a community that has many wonderful light displays in the neighborhoods surrounding the Eastmark area, not to mention the wonderful displays of our neighbors in Eastmark.

Agritopia Lights

  • Festive homeowners in the Agritopia neighborhood in Gilbert are known for their Christmas light displays year after year. The festivities begin this year around Thanksgiving time and usually run through the New Year. Each night around dusk until 9:30pm visitors are able to drive through the neighborhood (enter off of Ray and Exit on Higley) or park and walk through the magical displays. Some homeowners also set up treat and hot cocoa stations and the are several coffee shops and restaurants that surround the area that are fun to visit as well.

Christmas on Comstock – 3642 E. Comstock Drive Gilbert

  • Another festive neighborhood is Comstock Drive in Morrison Ranch in Gilbert, near Higley and Elliot. This neighborhood has previously appeared on and won The Great Christmas Light Fight on ABC. Here, the more than 100,000 lights are also coordinated with holiday music to listen to on the radio on 88.1 FM. Hours to view the lights are 6pm to 10pm (10:30pm on Friday and Saturday nights), usually from December 1 to December 30. Visitors are able to take in the displays either via car or by walking through the festive street.

Mesa Temple Christmas Lights – 101 S. LeSueur Mesa

  • Mesa Temple Christmas Lights display is back for 2024 and runs from 5:00pm to 10:00pm from November 29 to December 30. This lights display also features an International Nativity Display and all activities are open to the public, free of charge, and family friendly.

Natal Circle

  • Located in Mesa near Country Club and Guadalupe, this neighborhood cul-du-sac is decorated with beautiful lights. Travel west on Guadalupe, past Country Club, and turn on Cherry Lane to park and walk through sites such as a Walk-Through Bethlehem display and other themed displays. The lights will be on nightly from 6:00pm to 10:00pm through January 1.

M & S Lights – 11161 E. Starkey Ave Mesa

  • The residents of this home in mesa are huge Disney fans and you can see this in their Christmas decorating theme with a large structure that looks like the walls of the Disneyland ride “It’s a Small World”. The display features a computerized light show, a snow machine that launches fake snowflakes into the air, and a special mailbox where kids can drop letters to Santa and geta personalized letter in return. The festivities begin at 5:30pm to 9:00pm on Sunday to Thursday and 5:30pm to 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday.

1610 E. Hermosa Vista Drive Mesa

  • This two-story home is a Christmas dream with animated shows powered by around 30,000 lights and video projections synchronized to Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Disney tunes. It runs nightly from 6:00pm to 9:00pm until December 26.

Santa Rita Ranch Lights – 10458 E. Osage Ave Mesa

  • Around 20 homes in this neighborhood are linked together by lights so visitors can walk and drive through nightly at dusk through January 1.

Dingman Residence – 2329 N. Recker Road #104 Mesa

  • This house is covered in 65,000 plus lights and hundreds of decorations, including a landing strip for Santa. It is open nightly through December 31.

Lights on Liberty Lane – 396 W. Liberty Lane Gilbert

  • This Gilbert resident puts up his annual display of over 100,000 lights and is also coordinated to music and audio visual moments. Runs nightly from 6:00pm to 11:00pm until December 31.

The Nightmare Before Christmas at Halloween – 2537 E. Amberwood Drive Ahwatukee

  • This spooky take on Christmas features Jack Skellington, Sally, and more from the Disney film. This light display is open Friday and Saturday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Christmas on Upland Drive – 2617 W. Upland Drive Chandler

  • Over 25 houses in this neighborhood enjoy putting up lights, inflatables, and other spirited décor. Some nights also feature food trucks, horse-drawn carriages, and holiday activities. They have their own Instagram page to check for updates. Hours are 6:00pm to 9:00pm Sunday through Thursday and 6:00pm to 10:00pm Friday and Saturday until early January. – https://www.instagram.com/xmasonupland/

Loop of Lights San Tan Valley – 38454 N. Carolina Ave San Tan Valley

  • Walk or drive through the Peacan Creek South neighborhood in San Tan Valey that comes together to set up lights and Christmas displays. Santa may also make an appearance for a photo during the weekend. Parking is available in the Ellsworth Elementary parking lot. Open December 1 to December 25.
