Spring Events Near Eastmark 2024
Spring is upon us, the weather is beautiful, and it it is the perfect time to take advantage of the numerous events around the Valley! Check out this list below of fun Spring events coming up near Eastmark over the next few months.
PGA Tour Waste Management Open
- When: February 3 to February 11, 2024
- Location: TPC Scottsdale – 17020 N Hayden Road Scottsdale, AZ
- Activities: The PGA Tour comes to town for the People’s Open in Scottsdale. The schedule of golf and other events includes:
- Saturday, February 3 – 2024 Concert in the Coliseum at the 16th Hole – Post Malone will perform to kick off the week. Gates open at 3:30pm
- Monday, February 5 – Ford Free Days – Practice Rounds for PGA Tour Pros only, 8:30am – Carlisle Pro-AM at the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course
- Tuesday, February 6 – FordFree Days – Practice Rounds for PGA Tour Pros only
- Wednesday, February 7 – Annexus Pro-Am starts at 8:30am
- Hardy, Bailey Zimmerman with special guest Mike performing at Coors Light Birds Nest entertainment tent – opens at 3:30pm, pre-show acts perform around 6:30pm and main acts around 8:30pm
- Thursday, February 8 –WM Phoenix Open 1st Round – 7:30am
- Dierks Bentley performing with Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick at Coors Light Birds Nest entertainment tent
- Friday, February 9 – WM Phoenix Open 2nd Round – begins at 7:30am
- Duran Duran performs with opener Fitz and the Tantrums at the Coors Light Birds Nest tent
- Saturday, February 10 – WM Phoenix Open 3rd Round – begins at 9am (Green Out Day*)
- Kygo with Sam Feldt performing at Coors Light Birds Nest
- Sunday – WM Phoenix Open 4th Round – 9am
- Cost: Admission is free on Monday and Tuesday as a part of Ford Free Days. Children age 15 and under are also free when accompanied by a paying adult. General Admission tickets for Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday are $50. Friday and Saturday prices increase to $75 for General Admission
- Other fun facts: As long as tickets are available you can get them at the gate the day of, however sometimes the weekend dates do sellout. Gates open at 7am everyday of tournament week. Clear-bag policies or a smaller purse or clutch permitted. *Green Out day is where attendees are encouraged to wear green and hosts The Thunderbirds will donate $1 for each person wearing green to the WM Phoenix Open Working for Tomorrow Fund, which supports environmental awareness and sustainability. General Public Parking (with shuttle access to tournament gates) is FREE and available at Westworld (Lot A), Salt River Fields (Lot B), and a Rideshare lot at Bell94 Sports Complex.
- When: February 24, 2024 | 9am to 2pm
- Location: Riparian Preserve Gilbert
- Activities: outdoor activities include fishing, exploring wildlife, climb a rock wall and more! Featuring Goat Yoga, pony rides, axe throwing, wildlife encounters with Park Rangers featuring 40+ reptiles and other desert animals, inflatables, food and snack trucks
- Cost: FREE
- Other fun facts: parking is available at Southeast Regional Library
- When: Throughout the month of March
- Location: Mesa, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Glendale
- Activities: catch the Cactus League Teams (some include the Diamondbacks, Cubs, Dodgers, White Sox, Rockies, Brewers, Padres, Giants, Mariners and Rangers) in their spring practice games throughout the Valley
- Cost: most tickets start around $20 and are available on the team’s website
- Other fun facts: parking is also available for purchase online
Downtown Chandler BBQ Festival
- When: March 2 and March 3 | 11am to 8pm
- Location: Dr AJ Chandler Park
- Activities: beer sipping, whiskey tasting, live music, games, and BBQ featuring SanTan Brewing Company, Pedal Haus Brewery, West Alley BBQ, Honey Bears BBQ, Bonfire Craft Kitchens, Bama 4 BBQ, and Tom’s BBQ and SanTan Sprits.
- Cost: buy tickets online and save! General Admission tickets are available online for $20, children under 6 are free
- Other fun facts: no outside chairs permitted
- When: March 8 to 10, 2024 | 10am to 5:30pm
- Location: Mill Avenue
- Activities: features artist booths, food trucks, entertainment, beer & wine, and a Kids Block
- Cost: FREE
Chandler Ostrich Festival – Weekend 1
- When: March 8, 9, and 10 | 2pm to 12am, 10am to 12am, and 10am to 11pm
- Location: Tumbleweed Park | Chandler, AZ
- Activities: pays tribute to Chandler’s early ostrich racing history and features family-friendly activities, entertainment, carnival rides, and concerts
- Weekend 1 Performances:
- Friday March 8 –musical guests Shaggy and Paul Russell
- Saturday March 9 –musical guests Big & Rich featuring Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy
- Sunday, March 10 – musical guests TBA
- Cost: Tickets for individual days start at $30 for an adult and $20 for children ages 5-12; Three-day weekend passes start at $75 for adults and $45 for children
- Other fun facts: The event is cashless (payment via wristband or credit card) and is rain-or-shine. Ride and unlimited ride wristbands not included in admission and are for sale separately. There is also a clear bag policy in place

Chandler Ostrich Festival – Weekend 2
- When: March 15, 16, and 17 | 2pm to 12am, 10am to 12am, and 10am to 11pm
- Location: Tumbleweed Park | Chandler, AZ
- Activities: pays tribute to Chandler’s early ostrich racing history and features family-friendly activities, entertainment, carnival rides, and concerts.

- Friday, March 15 –musical guest Yung Gravy
- Saturday, March 16 –musical guests Chris Lane and Lauren Alaina
- Sunday, March 17 – musical guest Wynonna Judd
- Cost: Tickets for individual days start at $30 for an adult and $20 for children ages 5-12; Three-day weekend passes start at $75 for adults and $45 for children.

- When: each Thursday in the month of March (March 7, March 14, March 21, March 28)
- Location: Heritage District in Downtown Gilbert (north of Bario Queen)
- Activities: various bands featured for an outdoor show (TBA by February 1)
- Cost: FREE
- Other fun facts: concerts run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
- When: March 23, 2024 | 9am to 1pm
- Location: Mansel Carter Oasis Park
- Activities: This event features live entertainment and performances and the popular Egg Hunt – divided into age groups from ages 2 and under to ages 9-10 – find a golden ticket to win a prize! There will also be animal races – see who is the fastest chick, tortoise, and bunny of the bunch
- Cost: Wristbands available for purchase online on Monday, February 12 to Monday, March 11 – $12.50 for pre-purchase and $15 day of event – all-inclusive of inflatables and interactive attractions
- Other fun facts: limited parking available at Mansel Carter Oasis Park and a free, stroller friendly shuttle service will be available at the Desert Mountain park and Queen Creek Library
KAPOW! Superhero Adventure Run
- When: March 23, 2024 | first wave at 8am
- Location: Freestone Park in Gilbert
- Activities: 15 playful obstacles on a course throughout the park. Waves take off every 15 minutes and the last wave runs at 10am Runners are encouraged to wear their favorite superhero costumes. Registration is open now online.
- Cost: $30 per person through March 1, prices raise to $40 after that
- Other fun facts: children under 8 must run with a paid adult participant children under 3 may attend but are unable to participate on the course
Chandler Family Easter Celebration
- When: March 29, 2024 | 5:30pm to 8:30pm
- Location: Dr. AJ Chandler Park
- Activities: featuring the FREE 24 Karrot Trail where kids can collect eggs and goodies – find a “Golden Karrot” to win a prize! Egg hunt trails open to children up to 9 years old. Also has crafts, live music and performances, inflatables, carnival games, food vendors, and photos with the Easter Bunny.

- Other fun facts: Kids can also participate in a coloring contest (download coloring sheet here) and entries must be submitted by March 25
NCAA Men’s Final Four in Phoenix Events
- When: April 5 to 8, 2024 | 12pm to 8pm, 10am to 8pm, 12pm to 8pm
- Location: Phoenix Convention Center
- Activities: basketball themed activities, games, performances, giveaways, and autograph sessions (full schedule to be announced soon)
- Cost: tickets are $8 for pre-sale and $10 at the door for 13 years and older – free entry for Capital One cardholders, Men’s Final Four Game ticketholders, and kids 12 and under are FREE
- Other fun facts: April 7 will be Military Appreciation Day – free for military personnel and 3 guests with ID
NCAA March Madness Music Festival
- When: April 5 to 7, 2024 | Times TBA
- Location: Margaret T. Hance Park – Downtown Phoenix
- Activities: performances by well-known artists each night (lineup to be announced soon)
- Cost: TBA
Reese’s Men’s Final Four Friday
- When: Friday, April 5, 2024 | 10am
- Location: State Far Stadium
- Activities: interactive activities and entertainment for attendees of all ages. Open tea practices with the participating Final Four teams as well as the Reese’s NABC All- Star Game with top senior student-athletes from around the country.

- Other fun facts: The All-Star game starts at 3:30pm
- When: Sunday, April 7, 2024 | begins at 10:30am
- Location: From Heritage Square to Phoenix Convention Center Downtown Phoenix
- Activities: thousands of youth ages 18 and under will dribble a one-mile course through Downtown Phoenix with their one-of-a-kind NCAA Men’s Final Four Dribble Wilson basketball and custom t-shirt. The dribble begins at Heritage Square and ends at the Convention Center Fan Fest.

- Other fun facts: participants of the Dribble can also attend the Fan Fest free of charge
Men’s Final Four Tip-Off Tailgate
- When: April 5, 6, and 8, 2024 | Friday 10am to 3pm, Saturday 11:30am to 2:30pm, Monday 2pm to 5:30pm
- Location: State Farm Stadium Great Lawn
- Activities: attendees of the semi-final and National Championship games can stop by the Tip-Off Tailgate on their way to the games – free team pep rallies, musical performances, basketball-themed games, food and beverages.

- When: Saturday, April 13 | 10am to 2pm
- Location: Pioneer Park (526 E Main Street Mesa, AZ)
- Activities: Family fun activities and live music and entertainment to include bounce houses and inflatables, a tot zone, food trucks
